Participating in Lindenwood University’s Early College Academy is a cost-effective way to earn college credit and helps foster a smooth transition to college. There are three ways to earn college credit at Lindenwood: Dual Credit, Concurrent Enrollment and Early College Credit.
- Dual Credit: Students take a college course taught by a credentialed high school instructor. Students that successfully pass the class are awarded both high school and college credit. Your high school must have a agreement on file with Lindenwood.
- Concurrent Enrollment (also known as Dual Enrollment): Students take a college course taught by a Lindenwood professor either on campus or online. Students that successfully pass the class are awarded both high school and college credit if your high school has an agreement on file with Lindenwood.
- Early College Credit: Students take a college course taught by a Lindenwood professor. Students that successfully pass the class are awarded college credit only.
Dual Credit Student Eligibility
Juniors and Seniors with an overall minimum grade point average of 3.0(在4上).0 scale) are encouraged to enroll.
Juniors and Seniors who have between a 2.5-2.99 overall minimum grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) may also be approved to enroll with signed letters of recommendation from the high school’s counselor or 主要 and student’s parent/guardian.
Sophomores must have an overall minimum grade point average of 3.0(在4上).0 scale) and signed letters of recommendation from the high school’s counselor, 主要, and student’s parent/legal guardian.
Freshman must have an overall minimum grade point average of 3.0(在4上).0 scale), and score at the 90th percentile or above on the ACT or SAT. Freshman must also have signed letters of recommendation from the school’s counselor, 主要, and student’s parent/guardian.
*If a student is homeschooled, a letter of recommendation from the parent (obtained via our online registration process) will suffice in addition to an official copy of the student’s transcript.
*请注意, placement into individual courses (English or Mathematics) depends on the combination of a student’s grade point average, high school coursework, and individual Mathematics or English scores achieved on the ACT or SAT. The Early College Academy office will request an unofficial copy of your high school transcript to verify enrollment eligibility.

The student may review the 课程安排 and decide what class he or she is interested in taking for the semester. Students are eligible to take most "100" level classes and some "200" level classes. Counselors will help the student identify what classes might be best for the student at the time.
